Our Purpose
IOM AMERICA (The Institute of Ministry) is a tax-deductable 501c(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing practical and proven training, conferences, and counseling to equip each participant in embracing the life-transforming message of the Exchanged Life—”Not I but Christ.” IOM focuses on the root cause of cultural and interpersonal problems— that of spiritual, psychological and cultural identity. By making use of the Bible and over 25 years of experience, their grace-oriented & systematic solutions to worldview problems are refreshing and comforting.
Counseling
Our primary objective is to equip individuals for the purpose of building up the Body of Christ, and assist in empowering men, women, children and families to have a greater impact on the communities they serve. This is accomplished by providing Christ-centered, Bible-based guidance—Spirituotherapy®.
We press forward to show individuals their freedom from enslaving mental, emotional and spiritual conflicts by placing a special emphasis on IDENTITY MATTERS. The counseling style is direct, honest and truly Biblical.
The Institute —Training & Conferences
The Institute is designed to provide the student with an education that centers upon the integration process of faith and worldview. The matriculated student will become more established and pronounced in their Christian faith and become acutely aware of the “vain and deceitful philosophies” believers are faced with today.
IOM also provides practical and proven training for lay and professional discipling/counseling. Our approach is defined under the discipline of Spirituotherapy® —coined by Dr. Charles Solomon. Diagrams are used in the program for the sole purpose of assisting students in spiritual growth, as well as, communicating the exchange-life to others.
This training is offered to all Christians interested in learning how to effectively use the Word of God in a discipleship/ministry setting. Each attendee will gain personal help, as well as further oneself in the equipping process of being a minister of the gospel.
The Institute is an independent, freestanding preparatory training and referral source for Oxford Graduate School.
Oxford Graduate School, is deliberate at assisting students integrate their faith and field of interest at a high academic level while at the same time to learn to more effectively apply your faith in practical ways - both of these skills inform the kind of leadership that our culture desperately needs. So many leaders with academic credentials do not know how to integrate their faith and their earning.
